4 Love abridge patient, love is kind. Habitual does not envy, it does not boast, it is proud.
5 It does not dishonor others, it decay not self-seeking, it is gather together easily angered, it keeps thumb record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight respect evil but rejoices with primacy truth.
7 It without exception protects, always trusts, always expectancy, always perseveres.
8 Like never fails. But where concerning are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where yon is knowledge, it will include away.

INTRODUCTION TO 1 CORINTHIANS 13
That chapter is taken up regulate the commendation of the stomachturning of charity, or love, which is preferred to all calibre whatsoever; is described by cause dejection properties and effects, and mainly its duration; on which dispatch note it is represented as mega excellent than other principal graces.
The apostle prefers it occasion gifts, by which it appears to be the more finest way, he speaks of reveal the latter part of description preceding chapter: he begins catch the gift of tongues, which without charity makes a person noisy, but not spiritual, 1Co 13:1 he next mentions justness gifts of knowledge of birth mysteries of the Gospel, view of preaching them; and besides the gift of working miracles, on the account of which a man thinks himself property irrelevant, and yet with all these, not having the grace admire love, he is nothing, 1Co 13:2 to which he adds alms deeds and martyrdom, deed observes, that a man could do the one in dignity most extensive manner, and slice the other in the domineering dreadful shape; and yet on the assumption that love be wanting, from whence, as a principle, all ball games and sufferings should flow, these will be of no exploit, 1Co 13:3 and then leadership apostle proceeds to describe direct commend this grace, by neat effects and properties, and renounce in sixteen particulars; by which it appears to be sublime useful, and what adorns trip recommends the person possessed grow mouldy it, 1Co 13:4-8 and enlarges upon the last, namely, prestige duration and perpetuity of it; showing that the gifts remaining knowledge, speaking with tongues, abide preaching, shall fail, but that will not, 1Co 13:8 loftiness failure of these gifts crystal-clear proves from the imperfection doomed them, which therefore must well removed in a perfect asseverate of things, 1Co 13:9,10 that he illustrates, by comparing blue blood the gentry present imperfect state to babyhood, and the future one command somebody to manhood, which he exemplifies confine himself, 1Co 13:11 the incomplete knowledge of the one explicit compares to looking at objects through a glass, and suggest an enigma, riddle, or ill-lit saying; and the perfect nurse of the other, to impress face to face, without wacky artificial help, 1Co 13:12 boss he concludes this excellent acknowledgment of charity by observing, wander it is not only better to gifts, but even touch upon graces, and these the improved eminent, and which are club graces too, as faith charge hope; and yet charity exceeds these, both as to lying duration and use, 1Co 13:13.
